App Won't Install or Open (Mac)
Normal first-launch prompt
The first time you open a freshly-downloaded app on a Mac, you'll see a dialog saying it was "downloaded from the internet" and asking if you're sure you want to open it, along with a note that Apple checked it for malicious software. This is completely normal for any downloaded app and only appears once — click Open and you're done.
If you see a genuine block instead
If instead the message says the app "cannot be opened" because it's from an "unidentified developer" or Apple "cannot check it for malicious software" — with no direct Open button — that's a different and more serious problem. It means that specific build wasn't signed and verified (notarized) correctly by Apple, which shouldn't happen with an official release.
Don't work around this by using the right-click-Open trick or changing Gatekeeper settings — contact your administrator instead. This normally means something went wrong producing that particular build, and using an unverified copy of calling software isn't worth the risk.
App won't open at all / crashes immediately
If the app installs but crashes or shows an error the moment you try to open it, note down the exact error message shown (a screenshot is ideal) and send it to your administrator — this is much faster to diagnose with the exact wording than a general description.
