Using the Keypad During a Call
Using the Keypad During a Call
You can send touch-tones (DTMF) during a call — for navigating automated menus (IVRs), entering PINs, or using feature codes like call parking or paging.
How to use it
- During a connected call, open the Keypad tab (or tap the keypad icon).
- Press the digits/symbols you need.
- On Desktop, each key briefly flashes to confirm it registered, and the digits you've sent appear above the keypad so you can see what's been sent during the call.
If a tone doesn't seem to send
- On Desktop, a key flashes red instead of its usual colour if a tone genuinely fails to send — that's a real signal something's wrong (e.g. no active call). If it flashes normally but the far end doesn't respond, the tone was sent correctly and the issue is more likely with what you're dialling (wrong feature code, or the destination doesn't support DTMF the way you'd expect).
- Double-check the feature code or PIN with your administrator — a common cause is simply an incorrect code, not a technical fault.
